Through the Jets' first six games, Powell had 323 rushing yards, 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.
It was more bad news for Gang Green considering running back Isaiah Crowell came into the game with a nagging foot injury. Third-stringer Trenton Cannon took Powell's place.
Minnesota beat the Jets, 37-17. New York rushed for just 71 yards on 24 carries in the game.
