The Jets will have a familiar face helping Sam Darnold in the team's quarterback room in 2019.

QB Davis Webb has signed his exclusive rights tender and will be back with the team this upcoming season, the Jets announced Thursday evening.

Webb will serve as New York's third-string quarterback behind Darnold and the newly-acquired Trevor Siemian.

Webb, who was cut by the Giants right before the start of the 2018 season, was claimed off waivers by the Jets in early September. He would go on to spend most of the season on the practice squad, but did serve as the backup quarterback to Josh McCown while Darnold was out with an injury.

The 24-year-old was a third round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has yet to appear in a game.

New York also announced that WR Deontay Burnett and DB Jeremy Clark have signed their exclusive rights tenders.

Burnett, an undrafted free agent, caught 10 passes for 143 yards over five games during his rookie season. Clark was drafted by the Jets in the seventh round of the 2017 draft, and has not registered any stats in two career games.
