The Jets have decided not to pick up the option for the final two years of DT Mike Pennel's contract, according to ESPN's Field Yates.
New York had until Tuesday to pick up a $1 million bonus, which would have triggered the final two years of the three-year, $10.5 million contract he signed with the team last offseason.
Pennel has played in every game for New York over the last two seasons, starting in 10 games.
