The Jets announced Saturday that they finished their interview with Mike McCarthy for their head coaching vacancy.
The former Packers head coach joins ex-Dolphins head coach Adam Gase and Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to the list of candidates that have been interviewed by the Jets this week for their opening to replace Todd Bowles at head coach.
McCarthy coached the Packers from 2006-2018, winning Super Bowl XLV over the Steelers. McCarthy led the Packers to four NFC Championship games and nine playoff appearances.
According to SNY, McCarthy has 'warmed' to the idea of coaching the Jets. Those close to McCarthy thought he would be more interested in the Browns or Cardinals opening, but apparently the Jets is a possibility.
