The Giants' offensive line grew even thinner Monday when the team announced starting center Jon Halapio suffered fractures to his lower right leg and ankle in Sunday night's loss at Dallas.
The 27-year-old lineman will miss the rest of the season, ESPN reported. He is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair the injuries, the Giants said.

Halapio was hurt in the third quarter of the 20-13 loss and was carted off with his leg immobilized.
A sixth-round draft pick by the Patriots in 2014, Halapio bounced around training camps and practice squads until finally sticking with the Giants. He spent the 2016 season on Big Blue's practice squad, then played in 10 games (six starts) last season before winning the starting center job this summer.
Veteran John Greco replaced Halapio Sunday night. The versatile 33-year-old played for Pat Shurmur with the Rams and Browns before signing with the Giants last season.

The Giants traded their starting center from last season, Brett Jones, to Minnesota in August for a seventh-round draft pick.
