The Giants have reportedly had internal discussions about trading for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen.

According to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano, Rosen is among the options Big Blue is considering as they search for Eli Manning's successor. But it's not yet clear whether the Cardinals are indeed moving on from their first-round pick from a year ago.

There's been plenty of speculation about Arizona drafting Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray first overall because new Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury recruited Murray out of high school and said last fall, when he was still the head coach at Texas Tech, that he'd draft him first overall -- a pick that he and his new team now own.

Speaking at the league meetings in Phoenix on Tuesday, Kingsbury said the Cardinals have not yet made a decision on the first pick.

Meanwhile in Phoenix, Giants coach Pat Shurmur said the franchise is looking to add a young quarterback. Manning, who turned 38 in January, is set to return as the team's starter next season, but the franchise is clearly looking beyond then.

"There is going to be another quarterback playing for the Giants at some point, sooner better than later," Shurmur said. "But we have things we want to get done with our roster. We believe in Eli, and we'll just see where it takes us."

In 14 games last season, Rosen, whom the Cardinals selected 10th overall out of UCLA, completed 55.2 percent of his passes for 2,278 yards with 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

The Giants could also spend one of their two first-round draft picks on a QB. They are picking sixth and 17th overall. Oklahoma's Murray and Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins are considered the top quarterbacks available in this year's draft.
