Ealirer this week, Le'Veon Bell took to Twitter to apologize to fans who may have picked him in their fantasy football leagues last season. The former Steelers running back sat out last year after not getting the contract extension he was looking for.

On Thursday, the Jets running back explained why he apologized on Twitter.

"First."
After more than 18 months away, there will still be some fantasy football fans that might shy away from drafting Bell that early in their leagues. Prior to last season though, Bell was arguably the best RB in the NFL. He ran for 1,291 yards and had 655 receiving yards to go along with 11 total touchdowns in 2017.
