Monday's Game 3 of the ALDS was obviously the biggest game of the Yankees season. It was definitely the biggest game of Luis Severino's career.

Yet Severino was late to throwing his warm-ups, potentially because he wasn't aware of the start time of 7:40 p.m.

Analyst Ron Darling said on TBS that Severino didn't get to the bullpen for his warm-ups until 7:32, just eight minutes before the first pitch.

The late and rushed bullpen session may not have played a factor, but it surely didn't help the Yankees ace. Severino was charged with six runs over three-plus innings along with seven hits and two walks. Lance Lynn allowed all three runs to score that Severino left on base in the 4th inning.

UPDATE:

Aaron Boone said after the game that Severino had plenty of time to warm up.
