Former UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor made an appearance at UFC 223 on Thursday, storming the Barclays Center in what was a chaotic scene.
McGregor and his team attacked a van filled with fighters as it was departing the arena, banging on the vehicle and throwing objects at it, one of which cracked the windshield.
UFC President Dana White told the media that a warrant is out for McGregor's arrest with the New York Police Department. NYPD sources told the New York Post that police are indeed looking for McGregor in order to question him on his outburst.
Lightweight contender Michael Chiesa was left with a laceration. Chiesa's coach, Rick Little, said the fighter was "cut up" by shattered glass.
McGregor was reportedly looking for Khabib Nurmagomedov, who will be fighting Max Holloway for the lightweight title at UFC 223 on Saturday.
"Conor went bananas and put a beating on the van that we were in looking for Khabib," Little said. "A million security guards had to restrain him. Mike's cut up now. He's got marks on him, for sure. I don't think too serious. Everything happened so fast. It was just like we got jumped."
