The Giants waived right guard Patrick Omameh on Saturday.


General manager Dave Gettleman signed Omameh to a three-year, $15 million contract in the offseason.

Omameh started the first six games at right guard before being benched. Cutting Omameh will force the Giants to eat about $3.5 million in dead cap space next season.

The Giants waived right tackle Ereck Flowers earlier this season.

The Giants claimed Jamon Brown from the Los Angeles Rams on Oct. 31. Either Brown or John Greco will start at right guard when the Giants face the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.
