The Jets released kicker Cairo Santos on Wednesday.
Santos has been hindered by groin injuries throughout training camp.

Undrafted rookie Taylor Bertolet has kicked for the Jets this preseason. The Jets also claimed Jason Myers off waivers.
Santos converted 90 of 107 field goals in four years with the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears.
He was signed by Gang Green in March, with the possibility of him becoming their kicker this season.
Now, the competition will be between Bertolet and Myers to win the job.
