Baseball is in real danger of having no season this year, but perhaps guys like Aaron Judge could try their hand in another sport.
The 6-foot-7, 282-pound Yankees outfielder has the physique of an NFL tight end or edge rusher, so one San Francisco 49ers fan on Twitter wondered if his Niners could sign Judge?
Judge, who played wide receiver for the Linden High School varsity team about 80 miles northeast of the Niners' current home stadium, saw the tweet and jokingly responded, "There's a chance, but they're stacked!"
There's a chance--, but they're stacked!
— Aaron Judge (@TheJudge44) June 16, 2020Indeed, the Niners are stacked as they are the defending NFC champion, but surely offensive whiz Kyle Shanahan could find a way to use Judge to complement tight end George Kittle, right? Or perhaps they can rotate Judge in on their fearsome defensive line.
Of course, NFL Judge would have to answer the same big question mark as MLB Judge: can he stay healthy?
As of three weeks ago, Judge reportedly still had yet to swing a bat as he recovers from a rib injury and punctured lung after diving for a ball.
The 28-year-old likely would still be sidelined had the 2020 MLB season gone off without a hitch, raising more questions and concerns about his longevity.
But until there is baseball, we're left wondering what a healthy Judge could do in the NFL.
