A dead body was reportedly found at the Fair Lawn, New Jersey, home of Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins on Tuesday morning.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office's Major Crimes Unit is currently looking into the death, TMZ Sports reported. Jenkins has been in Florida and is aware of the situation, a source told TMZ.
The body of a man was found by someone who was working in Jenkins' basement, according to the website.
ESPN's Dianna Russini confirmed with police sources that a body was discovered on Jenkins' property and that the NFL star has been out of the state. She described it as a homicide investigation.
Russini also reported that a man claiming to be Jenkins' brother boarded a flight from Newark to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Monday night and "caused delays because he was too scared to fly according to witnesses I spoke to. He got off the plane."
