There was a lot to talk about this Thursday morning, as the Yankees reacted accordingly to Boomer's "must win Wednesday" declaration by beating up on the Orioles to the tune of a 9-0 win. Sonny Gray was great, Greg Bird hit another home run, and now the Yanks will head to Cleveland to close out the first half with a four-game set with the Indians.
Speaking of the Yankees, the rumors are getting more detailed, as it appears the Yankees' interest in Manny Machado is genuine -- which makes sense to Gregg, while Boomer is not on board with the idea of seeing Machado in pinstripes.
