The Jets brought back a pair of their own Monday, re-signing linebacker Brandon Copeland and tight end Neal Sterling.
Copeland, 27, was a pleasant surprise in his first year with the Jets. He played in all 16 games, starting 10, and registered 47 tackles, 20 quarterback hits, three pass defenses and five sacks.
His deal is for one year, $1.25 million and could reach $3 million with incentives, the Daily News' Manish Mehta reported.
Sterling, also 27, played in five games last season, starting four. The Belmar, New Jersey, native, finished the year with six receptions for 47 yards.
