The Nets are looking for another CEO, less than two months after hiring former Turner Broadcasting President David Levy.
Levy and the Nets have mutually parted ways, the team announced Tuesday. Levy was hired on Sept. 18 as part of a leadership change tied to Joseph Tsai purchasing the controlling stake of the Nets from Mikhail Prokhorov. Levy replaced Brett Yormark, who had been CEO since 2005.
Oliver Weisberg, who is the CEO of Tsai’s J Tsai Sports, has been named the Nets' interim chief executive.
"We are proud of the culture of the Brooklyn Nets under the leadership of GM Sean Marks and Head Coach Kenny Atkinson, and we look forward to continue bringing the best experience to our fans."
David Levy is a respected media executive and a friend. Truly appreciate his efforts in the past few months. I wish him well in his next endeavors.
