Demaryius Thomas' debut with the Jets didn't last long.

Thomas, who the Jets acquired after a brief stint in New England, sustained a hamstring injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the Jets' Week 2 matchup. The veteran wide receiver recorded one catch for -1 yard in his first appearance for Gang Green before he left with the injury.

It's been a lingering hamstring issue for Thomas, who hadn't even practiced with his new team since being traded to New York. He was listed as "questionable" on injury report leading into Monday's meeting with Cleveland, but eventually re-aggrivated the hamstring, marking the team's second significant injury of the game.

Starting quarterback Trevor Siemian suffered an ankle injury and didn't return to the game, leaving the starting duties to Luke Falk, who threw for 198 yards in relief.

Thomas was looked upon as a replacement for wide receiver Quincy Enunwa, who was previously ruled out for the duration of the regular season with a neck injury. Robby Anderson led all receivers with 81 yards on four catches, while running back Le'Veon Bell led the team with 10 catches.

With the loss, New York falls to 0-2 this season. The Jets have one more meeting before their direly needed bye week in Week 5. They'll travel to face undefeated New England on Sept. 22. Whether the team will have either Siemian or Thomas remains undecided.
