There is a lot of uncertainty about what to expect from Giants rookie head coach Joe Judge.
While he's worked under coaching greats Bill Belichick and Nick Saban, he is a new face in the league – having mostly working as a special teams coordinator.
So, some of the best insight we can gather on Judge is from his former players – and one ex-Patriots player is not only heaping praise on the Giants new head coach, but also their defensive coordinator, Patrick Graham.
"I think they have tremendous work ethic," former Patriots linebacker Rob Ninkovich said on the "Giants Huddle Podcast," per Giants Wire. "I was with Pat a long time. Me and Pat are very close and good friends. He helped me a lot in my career because he was so thorough in everything that he did in preparation.
"Same with Joe Judge. Joe Judge is going to be a guy that's first in, last guy out. He'll probably sleep there four or five nights a week. I know that sounds crazy, but he's that into it. Same with Pat. Those guys, they're not going to leave any stone unturned when it comes to preparation."
Graham was the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins last season and actually returns to the Giants, where he was the defensive line coach from 2016-17 during the Ben McAdoo era.
Under McAdoo -- and to a lesser extent Pat Shurmur the last two season – the Giants at times lacked discipline and direction, something Ninkovich says Graham and Judge take to heart.
"Coach Graham and Joe Judge are going to hold guys accountable, which is very much so needed in the NFL," he said. "You have to be accountable. You have to be expected to play at a high level week in and week out."
