Throwing beer on someone seems like an unliklely way to make a new friend, but that is apparently what happened during the Yankees' wild-card win over the Oakland A's last week.
John Spencer, an Oakland native living in Brooklyn, had a brew tossed on him last Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium. Video of the embarrassing incident then went viral on the internet.

In a Twitter post this week, Spencer called Chris "my new friend."
After last week's video went viral, the A's tracked down Spencer and are sending him a new jersey and other gear as well as tickets to a game next season.
