EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WFAN) -- The Giants added some secondary help Monday, signing former Dolphins safety Michael Thomas.
According to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, the contract is for two years. Financial terms have not yet been reported.
"It's an amazing opportunity," Thomas told Giants.com. "It feels great to come somewhere where they value what you bring to the table. I'm just excited. Can't wait to get to work."
A team captain in Miami, Thomas, 29, can play both safety positions and is also one of the league's better special teams contributors.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Stanford product played in 13 games last season (two starts) and had 27 tackles. Over his five-year career, he has 191 tackles and one interception. Thomas was a full-time starter in 2015.
In New York, Thomas will be reunited with Giants defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo, who was his position coach during his entire tenure with the Dolphins.
