Nothing like a Twitter beef on a Friday afternoon.

New York Jets safety Jamal Adams, fresh off a nine tackle, two sack and two forced fumbles performance versus the crosstown rival Giants, and Jacksonville Jaguars star running back Leonard Fournette got into an internet battle and let's just say no virtual punches were held back. Everything was left on the table.

Fournette tweeted about Pro Bowl voting and Adams started the war by quote-tweeting him with “Bruh we get it... Stop being thirsty!", which has now been deleted.

The Jaguars star rusher then took the war to another level,

Jamal ain’t tell y’all our sophomore year in college they had a fight at lance party and he was under the table hiding ,where that chip on yo shoulder was than ----------------------------------

Adams responded. The Kermit the Frog emoji also made an appearance. Smooth. Well played.

Makes sense... coming from the cat that quit on us & faked a injury! --☕️ https://t.co/X59WfPhgNu

Then, "Lance", whose party the "fight" happened at, also decided to chime in.

This lance y’all -------- https://t.co/fWacPd5a9e

Fournette then tried to play the role of peace maker, to settle down the "beef".

Say y’all I love @TheAdamsEra my brother 5Life

Three minutes later, the peace was over.

Fournette and the Jaguars defeated the Jets 29-15 back on October 27. Fournette had 19 carries for 76 yards and no touchdowns. Adams led the Jets that day with five total tackles in the loss. The Jets are now 2-7. Jacksonville is 4-5.

Just another day in Jets internet land. Is it Sunday yet?
