Disgruntled Jets safety Jamal Adams finally cleared the air with general manager Joe Douglas and head coach Adam Gase.
Adams revealed he recently sat down with Douglas and Gase to get on the same page. They reportedly apologized to each other for how the past several days played out, where Adams says Douglas "went behind his back" during trade discussions. He'd previously met with Jets' CEO Christopher Johnson.
"We just cleared it up," Adams told reporters. "He apologized. I apologized. We're good. It's simple."

— Connor Hughes (@Connor_J_Hughes) November 7, 2019The 24-year-old initially did not want to speak with the pair based on Douglas' approach to the trade deadline. Conflicting reports arose when the Jets were reportedly shopping Adams around to teams hours ahead of the Oct. 29 deadline.
Adams spoke out on the rumors on social media, saying he'd expressed his desire to remain with the organization.
"At the end of the week last week, I sat down with the GM and Coach Gase and told them I want to be here in New York," Adams posted hours after the trade deadline. "I was told yesterday by my agent that the GM then went behind my back and shopped me around to teams, even after I asked him to keep me here! Crazy business"
Douglas claimed the team was not interested in moving Adams elsewhere. Adams vented his frustration with the front office in a meeting with Johnson last week, where he said the talks "went good."
The Jets' on-field struggle has been on full display in 2019. New York has lost three straight games, but, now, the team is able to move forward in the same direction with zero conflict.
"I told them that I don't hate those guys," Adams said, via The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta. "I got nothing but love for those guys ... I would love to be here. I want to bring a Super Bowl to this organization."
