Jamal Adams 'Not Ready To Talk' With Jets

A day after the Jets reportedly listened to trade offers for Jamal Adams, their star safety is still upset with Gang Green.

"I have not," Adams said when speaking to reporters Wednesday, regarding if he's had a conversation with Jets GM Joe Douglas. "Just not ready to talk, when you go through something, sometimes it's best to let it cool down. And when you're ready to talk and have a conversation we definitely can and I believe we definitely will," Adams told reporters Wednesday.

Shortly after Adams was mentioned as a candidate to be moved at the NFL's trade deadline Tuesday, the Jets' safety claimed Douglas went behind his back, shopping him to other teams. Adams said he doesn't regret the comments which were made via Twitter, believing they needed to be said.

At the end of the week last week, I sat down with the GM and Coach Gase and told them I want to be here in New York. I was told yesterday by my agent that the GM then went behind my back and shopped me around to teams, even after I asked him to keep me here! Crazy business.

Even though he's upset with the Jets, Adams says he's still excited to be part of the team, but also admitted he would've "loved to go to the Cowboys."

The Jets' safety compared himself to Aaron Donald and Tom Brady, two elite players that according to Adams, wouldn't be shopped by their teams at the trade deadline. Adams might be publicly stating he wants to be a Jet, but it certainly sounds like a relationship that needs patching.
