Jets cornerback Brian Poole quite literally had the most memorable moment of his professional career snatched out of his hands.

Poole, who signed a one-year deal with New York in March, picked off Raiders quarterback Derek Carr for his first interception with the Jets. It wasn't only the interception that brought Jets faithful to their feet. The 27-year-old grasped onto the ball with one hand and made the 15-yard dash for the end zone — his first NFL touchdown.

He held the football high in the air as he walked along the sideline, mobbed by his teammates. In a swift moment, a fan reached over and took possession of the football that put the Jets ahead 34-3 on Sunday.

Poole's search for the football commenced in the ensuing hours after his celebration. He took to social media, launched a search and even offered an incentive for the fan to return the prized football.

"Hey You Whoever You Are. I Have A Signed Jersey For You BUT I NEED THAT BALL BACK!," Poole posted for his over 27,000 Twitter followers to see. He even included a unique hashtag to find the culprit — #FindPoolePickSix.
