When it comes to Le'Veon Bell, the Jets' front office is reportedly divided.According to the Daily News' Manish Mehta, some people in the organization want to be aggressive but not reckless in pursuing Bell. Others, however, don't see any need to pay a running back the type of money that the three-time Pro Bowler is expected to command, which is $15 million to $16 million a year.

In addition to Bell's price tag, some on One Jets Drive are concerned about the risks associated with him, namely the mileage on his legs and his unpredicatable behavior. The soon-to-be former Steeler has been suspended twice for violating the league's substance abuse policy, and there are reportedly concerns over what kind of shape he's in after a year away from football.

Meanwhile, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, the Jets were eyeing wide receiver Adam Humphries, who spent the past four years with the Buccaneers. Humphries agreed to a four-year, $36 million deal with the Titans, according to reports.

The Jets were also interested in Bucs linebacker Kwon Alexander, Stroud reported, but he agreed to a four-year, $54 million contract Monday with the 49ers, according to reports.

The Jets, who are coming off a 4-12 year, have more than $82 million in available salary-cap space as free agency begins this week. The league's legal tampering period begins Monday.
