Leonard Williams says the culture has changed on the Jets since last season.
"The team's coming out with a lot of passion, a lot of want-to this year," the Jets defensive lineman told WFAN's Mike Francesa on Tuesday from training camp in Florham Park, New Jersey. "And I defintely feel it -- it feels like the team knows we're going somewhere this year, and we're working hard towards it.
"What I love most is we brought in some competitors, and I love what (general manager) Mike Maccagnan and (coach) Todd Bowles and all the guys upstairs are doing right now 'cause I love the positivity on the team right now."
Williams also said he expects the Jets' defense, which was ranked 25th in the league last season, to be much improved.

"Overall, our defense has been playing together, playing fast and playing for one another," the 2015 first-round pick said. "And that's big when you're able to play for somebody instead of just for yourself."
