Sam Darnold's first game back from mononucleosis was award-winning.
The Jets' second-year quarterback has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after leading his team to a 24-22 upset win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
Darnold, who had missed the previous three games with mono, completed 23 of 32 passes (71.9%) for 338 yards with two touchdowns in the game.
Darnold is the first Jet to win AFC Offensive Player of the Week since running back Isaiah Crowell did it in Week 5 last season. In that game, Crowell rushed for 219 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Denver Broncos.
The Jets' next game is Monday night at home against the New England Patriots.
