Jets running back Le'Veon Bell missed his second straight practice Friday as he deals with an undisclosed illness.
Coach Adam Gase told reporters he's not sure if Bell will be able to play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Gase hopes to have a better idea Saturday.
"Biggest thing was just get him checked out and then get him out of the building so nobody else gets sick," Gase said.
However, two other Jets -- tight end Ryan Griffin and defensive back Maurice Canady -- also missed practice this week while sick.
Meanwhile, Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams did not practice again while he nurses a sprained ankle. Although Adams has not practiced all week, Gase said he was not ready to rule him out for Sunday.
