The Jets are reportedly making phone calls in their search to replace coach Todd Bowles.

According to various reports, the team has requested interviews with at least four candidates: Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Todd Monken, Cowboys defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator Kris Richard and Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell. Campbell declined his request, NFL Network reported.

In his first season as an offensive coordinator, Bieniemy, 49, has led the Chiefs to an NFL-best 425.6 yards and 35.3 points per game. He spent the previous five seasons as Kansas City's running backs coach. The Chiefs ranked in the top 10 in rushing offense in four of those years.

Bieniemy's résumé also includes serving as running backs coach with the Minnesota Vikings, UCLA and Colorado, his alma mater. He played nine seasons in the NFL for the Chargers, Bengals and Eagles.

Monken, 52, has run the Bucs' offense the past three years. This season, Tampa Bay ranked third offensively averaging 415.5 yards per game. Monken was the head coach at Southern Mississippi from 2013-15, going 13-25. His background also includes four years as the Jacksonville Jaguars' wide receivers coach.

Before joining the Cowboys' coaching staff this season, Richard, 39, was the Seattle Seahawks' defensive coordinator from 2015-17. The Seahawks finished in the top five in defense in two of those years. Richard was the Seahawks' defensive backs coach when they reached back-to-back Super Bowls in 2013 and 2014, winning the first one.

The former USC standout played four seasons in the NFL from 2002-05 for the Seahawks and 49ers.

Campbell, 39, is 19-19 after three seasons at Iowa State. He led Toledo to a 35-15 record from 2011-15.

The Jets announced Sunday night that they fired Bowles after four seasons. Bowles went 24-40 -- including 4-12 this season -- and never reached the playoffs.
