The Jets added another running back to their stable Friday, signing former Seahawk Thomas Rawls.
Terms of the deal were not immediately known.
Undrafted coming out of Central Michigan in 2015, Rawls, 24, has rushed for 1,336 yards and seven touchdowns in his three-year career.
As a rookie, Rawls appeared to have a bright future, rushing for 830 yards and four touchdowns and leading the NFL with a 5.6 yards-per-carry average. However, his season was cut short by a broken ankle, and he has yet to regain his old form. He rushed for 349 yards in 2016, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry -- although he was brilliant in a wild-card win over the Lions, running for 161 yards.
Last season, he rushed for 157 yards and averaged 2.7 yards per attempt.
Rawls joins a Jets team that already includes running backs Bilal Powell, Elijah McGuire, Isaiah Crowell and Jeremy Langford.
