The Jets have added free agents on offense, and now they’re adding to their defense too.
According to WFAN Jets insider Brian Costello, the team has agreed to a deal with former Ravens linebacker Patrick Onwuasor. Onwuasor will help boost a linebacking group that struggled last year after the injuries to CJ Mosley.
Mosley and Onwuasor both played well when they were on the field together in Baltimore. When Mosley left, Onwuasor struggled. Adam Gase and company will be hoping that they can reestablish that chemistry on defense with the Jets.
In 2019, Onwuasor had three sacks and 64 total tackles. He has 9.5 total sacks in his career thus far.
