Knicks Name William Wesley EVP and Senior Basketball Advisor

The New York Knicks announced Wednesday morning that they have named William Wesley as their new Executive Vice President and Senior Basketball Advisor, and hired Alex Kline and TJ Zanin in their scouting department.

Wesley, 55, has been a consultant in the coaching division of CAA for the past 13 years, and has a long history with Knicks president Leon Rose going back to their childhood days in South Jersey.

"We are very excited to announce the hiring of William Wesley, someone that I have known for over 40 years and consider to be family," Rose said in the Knicks' statement announcing the hires. "He is one of the most well-connected and respected people in the basketball community and he will be a tremendous asset and resource to both myself and the New York Knicks."

"My long history with and respect for Jim Dolan and Leon Rose, as well as the chance to be part of the New York Knicks made this an opportunity I wanted to pursue," Wesley added. "I look forward to joining the current staff and moving the organization toward a successful future."

As for the new scouts, Zanin has spent a decade in the league as a scout, most recently serving as a regional scout for the Mavericks. Prior to that, he spent two years with the Hornets as director of college scouting, and was a scout for the Nets (2013-15) and Clippers (2010-13) before that. Zanin has also served as a scout for the USA Basketball program.

Kline spent the last four seasons as a basketball operations assistant for the Pelicans, joining that organization in 2016 after running his own recruiting website, "The Recruit Scoop."
