Lone Hall Of Fame Voter Who Didn't Cast Ballot For Jeter Remains Anonymous

So much for the theory that the lone Hall of Fame voter who did not cast his or her ballot for Derek Jeter did it for attention.

The Baseball Writers' Association of America on Tuesday released the ballots for all the voters who chose to make their votes public.

This morning we are releasing the 314 Hall of Fame ballots (79.1 percent) of writers who opted to make their ballots public. That includes 91 previously unrevealed ballots. https://t.co/ndQuhNGrK8

The ballots of 314 of the 397 voters were released, and all of those included Jeter's name. The mystery dissenter has not come forward otherwise.

The Yankees legend fell one vote short of joining former teammate Mariano Rivera as the only players ever elected into the Hall by a uanimous vote.

Jeter, along with former Expos and Rockies star Larry Walker, ex-Cardinals and Brewers catcher Ted Simmons and late players' association head Marvin Miller, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on July 26.
