MLB broadcasters aren't traveling with their teams on road trips this season, but next time you turn on a game from Tropicana Field, you'll see our own Suzyn Waldman and YES Network's Meredith Marakovits.
How, you ask? Well, thanks to the magic of the Rays being one of many teams around the league to put cardboard cutouts in the stands…tell you what, just take a look:

Marakovits, who lives in Clearwater, Fla., during the offseason, ordered the cutouts hoping they would be ready in time for last weekend's Yankees-Rays series at the Trop; alas, they were late, ironically arriving while the Yankees and Rays were playing…in the Bronx.
"They were a little late," Marakovits told WFAN.com via text, "but I can't stop laughing at how awesome they are. And I'm sure they'll make fun of me on the broadcast for it!"
Marakovits and Waldman have become close friends in Meredith's nine years with YES, and the "Adventures of Mere and Suze" are quite popular amongst those who follow Marakovits on Twitter (that's even a hashtag on Instagram, as evidenced in the post).
And now, they'll be together in eternity, or at least as long as the COVID-19 pandemic keeps fans out of baseball games, in the seats of Tropicana Field.
Given, though, that we've seen several Rob Schneiders in Pittsburgh, Bernie Lomax in Kansas City, Chipper Jones at Citi Field, and Steve Bartman in Seattle, perhaps an all-celebrity cardboard crowd is what we finally need to get the Yankees on board?
