The fifth and sixth episode of ESPN's "The Last Dance" documentary on Michael Jordan had all sorts of cameo appearances from celebrities and famous athletes, but perhaps none caught the attention of New York sports talk listeners than WFAN's own Mike Francesa.
The sixth episode of the series honed in on the Knicks-Bulls rivalry of the 1990s, particularly the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals in which Jordan was the center of some controversy after he spent an alleged late night gambling in Atlantic City the night before Game 2.
His Atlantic City trip overshadowed the series itself, becoming a major storyline in the media.
To capture the media's reaction, the documentary flashed a seven-second clip of Francesa in the WFAN studios talking about Jordan and the recent controversy that surrounded him.
This, of course, grabbed the attention of many New York sports radio listeners:
