Moritz Wagner refused to let the Michigan Wolverines become Loyola-Chicago's next victim.

The German power forward had 24 points and 15 rebounds as Michigan won 69-57 on Saturday night in San Antonio, ending the 11th-seeded Ramblers' Cinderella NCAA tournament run in the Final Four.

For a while, however, the Wolverines, a No. 3 seed, appeared to be in trouble. They trailed 29-22 after a first half in which Wagner's teammates shot 4-of-23.

But after Loyola took a 41-31 lead with 14:10 to play, the momentum shifted toward Michigan. The Wolverines outscored the Ramblers 38-16 the rest of the way, including a 17-2 run during one stretch.

Charles Matthews added 17 points for Michigan (33-7).

Cameron Krutwig led Loyola (32-6) with 17 points. Clayton Custer scored 15 points, and Aundre Jackson had 10 off the bench for the Ramblers, who shot just 1-of-10 from 3-point range.

Michigan is now headed to its seventh national championship game, in which it will face Villanova at 9:20 p.m. Monday. The Wolverines were last in the title game in 2013, when they lost to Louisville. Their only national championship came in 1989.

Jalen Brunson added 15 points, and Omari Spellman had 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Wildcats (35-4), who are one win away from their second national championship in three years.

Devonte' Graham led the Jayhawks (31-8) with 23 points, and Malik Newman had 21 points and eight rebounds.
