EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WFAN) -- The Giants will be without Odell Beckham Jr. once again Sunday.

The team announced the star wide receiver will miss his third straight game when Big Blue faces the Colts in Week 16. Beckham has been dealing with a quad injury he initially suffered in a Week 12 loss to the Eagles.

Despite that the Giants are out of playoff contention, Beckham said Thursday he'd prefer to be suiting up against Indianapolis if he could.

"You work to play these games and to be out there with your brothers," he said. "I want to come back and finish the season strong. ... I’m definitely feeling better. I’m just taking it one day at a time, and that’s all I can do at this point. Just trying to find my way back."

Earlier in the week, coach Pat Shurmur said he wasn't considering shutting down Beckham for the rest of the season. The Giants' season finale will be Dec. 30 against the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants announced that linebacker Alec Ogletree (concussion), center Spencer Pulley (calf) and wide receiver Russell Shepard (ankle) will also be out Sunday.
