An off-the-field incident from Odell Beckham Jr's time with the Giants could be coming back to bite him in the wallet.

In 2017, Beckham let a friend drive a luxury car that he was renting from Celebrity Motors, and the friend ended up crashing the car in the Lincoln Tunnel. According to TMZ, Lexington Insurance, that rental companies insurance provider, is now suing the former Giants' star for the damages.

Beckham was apparently the only person who was allowed to drive the vehicle, but he still let his friend, Blake Anderson, use it. Anderson crashed the car, which is worth more than $100,000, when he attempted to "carelessly" switch lanes, according to the lawsuit.

"Lexington Insurance claims Beckham should have known his friend is a terrible and unsafe driver with multiple traffic infractions and had no experience driving a car with "this kind of power." They also claim Anderson doesn't have the means to pay for the damage," reports TMZ.

The company admits that it was only an oral agreement, which could help Beckham's chances in the lawsuit.

Beckham has been up and down during his first season in Cleveland. The Browns haven't met expectations and are now 2-4 after a frustrating loss on Sunday to the Seahawks. Beckham's personal numbers haven't yet reached the heights they often did with New York.
