The Patriots' mascot may have not been hospitalized by Jamal Adams' surprising tackle last week, but he is still feeling some pain, according to a report.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted Monday the man in the Pat Patriot costume is still dealing with jaw, neck and back soreness and was examined for a concussion. As of Monday morning, the mascot still planned on attending Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) January 28, 2019The Jets safety jokingly tackled Pat Patriot during Pro Bowl festivities in Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday. On Thursday, Adams said he was told the person in the costume was taken to a hospital, which a New England team spokesman later said wasn't true.
"He (the mascot) was running around and everybody was booing him, so I said, 'You know what? Let me go tackle him,'" Adams said Thursday, according to ESPN. "I didn't hit him that hard, man. All jokes aside, I didn't hit him that hard. I don't know what's really going on, but they did tell me he's in the hospital. My intention was never to hurt him. It was all about just a joke, but I definitely want to check on him and make sure everything is good. At the end of the day, we were out here just having fun, and it wasn't nothing intentionally to try to hurt the guy."

A Patriots spokesman told radio station WEEI that Pat Patriot was not hospitalized but did seek attention from the on-site medic following the "painful" attack. A team spokesman separately told CBSBoston.com that the man in the costume was "sore" after the hit.
Adams, who was named Defensive MVP of the Pro Bowl, was still laughing off the incident.
"It's dying down now," Adams said. "He never went to the hospital. They blew it up. It was all for the fans. I gained some fans and I gained some enemies, put it like that."
