It's safe to say that Pete Alonso was not a big fan of the 2019 Players Weekend uniforms the Mets wore over the weekend. It was a three-game series that saw them get swept by the Braves at Citi Field.

Despite the rough weekend and the unpopular white uniforms, Alonso aka "Polar Bear" tied the Mets single-season franchise home run with his 41st homer Saturday. He tied both Todd Hundley and Carlos Beltran and will set the record with his next blast. At the time, it was a huge three-run go-ahead jack in the 5th inning, but Zack Wheeler and then the bullpen would give that lead away.
The consensus seems to be that the white uniforms were a dud and most are ready to get ready to see the Mets back in orange and blue. Mr. Positive Pete Alonso finally had something negative to say, and he isn't wrong.
