The Brooklyn Nets have made quite a few changes on the court this offseason, but there has also been some restructuring at the top of the organization.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving joined as players, and now executive David Levy has reportedly joined as the Nets’ new CEO, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. He replaces Brett Yormark, who left the franchise in August.

The Nets are hiring former Turner president David Levy as CEO, league sources tell ESPN. An announcement is expected once Joe Tsai's new majority ownership is approved at the NBA's upcoming Board of Governors meeting.

Levy represents the first major appointment since Joe Tsai took over majority ownership of the team this summer, although that purchase still has to be approved by the league at the Board of Governors meeting.

Before this move to the Nets, Levy had been President/CEO of Turner Media since 2013. He had been with the company since 1987 and had been a big part of expanding the network’s sports offerings.

According to Wojnarowski, Levy has a "strong relationship" with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

Levy will be tasked with overseeing the continuing rejuvenation of the Nets’ franchise. Last year’s young team overachieved expectations, and now two marquee free agents are coming to the borough to try and build on the franchise’s recent growth.
