Freddie Kitchens was shown the door after one disappointing season in Cleveland. Newly appointed Giants head coach Joe Judge may be swoop in and bring Kitchens aboard in New York.
Judge will reportedly speak to Kitchens about a role with the Giants, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. The report indicated that the position would involve the Giants' offense.
Kitchens was shockingly dismissed following the conclusion of his first season as a head coach. Cleveland finished with six wins and 10 losses, third in the AFC North division, which meant an abrupt end to Kitchens' tenure.
Prior to his time as head coach, Kitchens spent the 2018 season as the Browns' offensive coordinator. He was tasked with the duty of developing then-rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. Cleveland's offense tallied 5,900 yards — ranked No. 13 in the NFL, seventh in the AFC, while Mayfield recorded 27 passing touchdowns, eleventh-most among quarterbacks.
