The New York Knicks have completed interviews for the team's head coaching job, and hope to hire its new coach this week.

According to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, after talking with Golden State Warriors assistant coach Mike Brown, the Knicks have finished their interviews for the franchise's head coaching vacancy. Team officials will now meet to reach a consensus on the hiring of one of the candidates, league sources told ESPN.

Former Atlanta coach Mike Budenholzer, former Cleveland coach David Blatt, and former Memphis coach David Fizdale are reportedly the favorites for the job, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post. All three have met with Knicks president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry in recent weeks.

Other candidates that have interviewed with New York include former Golden State coach and current broadcaster Mark Jackson, Miami assistant Juwan Howard, San Antonio assistant James Borrego, Toronto G League coach Jerry Stackhouse, Boston assistant Jay Larranaga, Clippers assistant (and former Knicks head coach) Mike Woodson, and television analyst Kenny Smith.

The Knicks are looking to replace Jeff Hornacek, who was fired in April after two seasons as head coach.

The next head coach will be the franchise's 11th since the 2001-02 season.
