The Nets have reportedly acquired veteran forward Jared Dudley and a 2021 second-round pick from the Phoenix Suns for power forward Darrell Arthur.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report on the deal Friday.
The Nets will consider buying out Dudley, who is set to earn $9.5 million in the final year of his contract, the report said. Dudley, 33, averaged 3.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 48 games last season.
The 22nd overall pick in the 2007 draft, Dudley has also played for the Charlotte Bobcats, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards. His best season came with the Suns in 2006, when he averaged 12.7 points and 4.6 rebounds.

The second-round pick the Nets have acquired is protected up to 35th overall, Wojnarowski reported.
The Suns are expected to buy out Arthur, who is scheduled to earn $7.4 million this season, meaning they essentially sacrificed a future second-round pick to free up a couple million dollars in salary-cap space next season.
Brooklyn acquired Arthur, 30, last week in a trade with the Denver Nuggets. The Nets also added power forwar Kenneth Faried, a 2019 protected first-round pick and a future second-round selection from the Denver Nuggets in the deal, which sent point guard Isaiah Whitehead to Denver.
Arthur averaged 2.8 points and 0.8 rebounds in 19 games last season.

Nets general manager Sean Marks has been busy this offseason, but his aim appears to be adding future draft picks and salary-cap flexibility rather than significantly improving the product on the court for 2018-19. He acquired Dwight Howard from the Charlotte Hornets then promptly bought out the eight-time All-Star center. The deal allowed Brooklyn to move center Timofey Mozgov and the $32.7 million he is owed over the next two seasons.
Last week, the Nets traded point guard Jeremy Lin and a 2025 second-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks, as well as the right to swap picks in 2023, for the rights to Atlanta’s 2016 second-round pick, Isaia Cordinier, who is playing in France.
