Giants strong safety Landon Collins underwent a second surgery on his fractured right forearm Monday, according to multiple reports. Collins' expected recovery timetable puts him in line to be ready for the start of training camp in July.
He posted a picture of himself on Instagram on Monday morning in a hospital gown.
The procedure could keep Collins out six to eight weeks and will force him to miss all spring activities. He is entering the final year of his four-year rookie contract and will earn a base salary of $1.269 million with a salary cap charge of $1.94 million.

Collins spoke of his surprise at needing a second surgery in a recent conference call after doctors recommended that an additional operation would speed up the healing process.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Collins has made 341 tackles in 47 career games. Last season, he recorded 104 tackles in 15 games.
The 24-year-old suffered the injury while making a tackle in a Dec. 24 shutout loss to the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium. He underwent the first surgery not long after the break.
Collins will be leaned upon next season as a key member of Big Blue's defensive corps under new coordinator James Bettcher.
