Richard Sherman is never one to mince his words, especially after a victory.
Sherman’s 49ers beat the Packers 37-20 on Sunday to advance to the Super Bowl. Sherman had an interception late in the fourth quarter that essentially clinched the NFC championship for San Francisco.
Afterwards, Sherman took to Twitter to clap back at former Jets’ cornerback Darrelle Revis, who had criticized him on the website earlier in the game for playing zone coverage.
I would go in on this has been but I have a Super Bowl to prepare for. Enjoy the view from the couch. Your ninth year looked a lot different than this. Lmao https://t.co/jj3pwWYhVa

January 20, 2020 Revis aired his critique of Sherman after the cornerback was beaten down the field by Davante Adams on a 65-yard pass early in the fourth quarter. That play allowed the Packers to move into the red zone quickly and eventually score, but it wasn’t enough to catch up to San Francisco.
Sherman has taken on a leadership role with the 49ers since he joined from the Seahawks in March of 2018. The secondary that he anchors stifled Aaron Rodgers enough to keep the Green Bay offense in check on Sunday. As a result, Sherman now has a chance to win a second Super Bowl.
Revis then responded to Sherman, pushing back against the idea that he struggled in his ninth year in the league.
My 9th year I lead the entire league in turnovers. 5 Ints and 4 Fumble Recoveries. Enjoy the Super Bowl and strap up because this game you will have to cover. @RSherman_25 ------

January 20, 2020 But the back-and-forth still wasn't over yet. Sherman had one more response criticizing Revis' playoff performances over his career.
I have to cover every game kid. I get my hands on the football in the playoffs something you will never know anything about. https://t.co/V6uFIvNQvT

January 20, 2020 Revis and Sherman will both go down as two of the best cornerbacks of their generation, so it’s understandable that they have developed a bit of a rivalry.
Revis played 11 years in the NFL and spent time with the Jets, Patriots, Buccaneers and Chiefs. His best years were in New York, but he was only able to win a Super Bowl after signing with New England for the 2014/2015 season.
If Sherman and the 49ers aren’t able to win the big game on February 2 in Miami, there could be another tweet from Revis coming down the pipeline.
