Rob Gronkowski is vowing revenge against Jamal Adams after the Jets safety tackled the Patriots' mascot during Pro Bowl festivities last week.

Adams jokingly made a leaping tackle of Pat Patriot on Wednesday in Orlando, Florida. On Thursday, Adams said he was told the person in the costume was taken to a hospital, which a New England team spokesman later said wasn't true. The mascot did, however, seek attention from the on-site medic following the "painful" attack, according to the spokesman.

On Monday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the mascot was still experiencing jaw, neck and back soreness and was examined for a concussion

"I saw that. It wasn't very nice," Gronkowski told reporters at Super Bowl LIII Opening Night on Monday in Atlanta, according to Boston radio station WEEI.

"We're going to have to figure a way out to get the revenge. I mean, that was not nice what he did. I heard the guy got seriously hurt."

Adams has repeatedly said he was just having fun and trying to entertain the fans. He also said he didn't mean to hurt the man in the costume, but when ESPN asked him last week if he regretted the tackle, he said no.

Pat Patriot is expected to be at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
