The Rangers and restricted free agent forward Ryan Spooner agreed a two-year contract Tuesday, avoiding arbitration. The deal is worth $4 million a year, Newsday reported.

The Blueshirts acquired Spooner, 26, in the February trade that sent Rick Nash to the Boston Bruins. Spooner had 13 goals and 28 assists (41 points) last season, including four goals and 12 assists in 20 games with the Rangers. He had 49 and 39 points the previous two seasons.

Spooner was the last of the Rangers' arbitration-eligible restricted free agent to reach a deal.
