The Yankees acquired outfielder/pinch runner Terrance Gore from the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations.
Gore, 28, is being sent to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and is not on the Yankees' 40-man roster.
The 5-foot-7 Gore has spent parts of the past six seasons with the Kansas City Royals and Chicago Cubs. His biggest threat is his speed -- he has 40 career stolen bases, but only 15 hits.
This season, Gore has played in a career-high 37 major league games and is hitting .275 with one RBI.
