The Jets released Terrelle Pryor on Saturday because he was expected to miss about two weeks with a groin injury and they didn't have enough healthy bodies at wide receiver. Now that Pryor is a free agent, it sounds as though he might be ready to return sooner than expected.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Pryor says he is close to 100 percent healthy and could be ready to play this Sunday.

The Jets have reportedly been interested in re-signing Pryor. He, however, has already been contacted by several other interested teams.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 23, 2018Pryor enjoyed one of his best games of the season the week before the Jets cut him -- six catches, 57 yards and a touchdown in a 42-34 win over the Indianapolis Colts. For the season, he has 14 receptions for 235 yards and two TDs.
The Jets signed Pryor as a free agent in March. A converted quarterback, he caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns in 2016. But after signing a one-year deal with the Washington Redskins last year, Pryor, hampered by injuries, had just 20 receptions for 240 yards with a touchdown.

Gang Green is also without wide receiver Quincy Enunwa, who is healing from a high ankle sprain. That leaves them with Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse and a trio of journeymen and special-teamers at wide receiver.
The Jets showed some interest in trading with the Oakland Raiders for wide receiver Amari Cooper, ESPN reported. Cooper was dealt to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday for a first-round pick. According to ESPN, the Jets didn't want to part with a first-rounder and don't have a second-round pick in 2019.
Their front office will reportedly continue to explore possible trades for wide receivers. Some wideouts who could be available before the Oct. 30 deadline include Denver's Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, Buffalo's Kelvin Benjamin and Miami's DeVante Parker.
